If I had to guess, I’d guess you are going through a hard time right now.
Maybe an excruciating, overwhelming and lonely time.
But I’d also assume, because you are human, you’ve been through hard things before this, too.
Yet, you’re reading this right now.
Which means you survived the hard times in your past.
It’s weird how easily our human minds forget what God has brought us through and so quickly goes to a place of defeat.
And you know what?
I think the enemy wants us to forget...
To forget when Jesus first made His way into our hearts. When our eyes were opened to His love and the power of His Spirit.
To forget how He took a situation that seemed hopeless and brought healing and restoration.
To forget the blessings He put in our life right when we needed it.
To forget how He made a way that we never could have on our own.
Satan wants us to forget that Jesus knows exactly what we need to get through any situation.
He wants us to forget that Jesus is our provider and sustainer.
You already know this if you really look back and remember.
You’ll remember the heartache that once consumed you has lessened greatly, maybe completely.
You’ll remember that through the pain you grew and became stronger, mentally and spiritually.
You’ll remember meeting grace firsthand, and knowing what it’s like to be held.
You’ve been through hard things before, and you’re still here.
Why would now be any different? Why wouldn’t He be able to get you through this?
He doesn’t change. He never will.
He will always be where you find victory.
Don’t forget you’ve gotten through hard things before.
It didn’t destroy you then, and it won’t destroy you now.
Not with Jesus.
