My stomach has been in knots about all the change coming up in my life.
So many of us are entering a new season.
College and empty nesting.
Relationship changes, some ending.
Homeschooling or distance learning.
New houses, neighborhoods or communities.
Changing careers or worrying if you will even have one.
Caring for loved ones who are sick. And a million other things.
There are so many emotions that come with change. Some that may feel good, others that are heart wrenching.
Grief often accompanies a new season.
I think that’s part of the knot in my belly right now.
Even good change can be hard.
Because with change comes the unknown- we never know for sure how it’s going to go.
The one truth I always have to come back to when I start to worry about a new season, is that God already saw this coming.
He’s actually seen the whole thing play out.
This new season is not new for Him.
Nothing is new for Him.
No matter how much your life is changing, no matter how difficult it feels like it’s going to be, God’s seen you through this.
He knows exactly what you need.
That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy.
But it does mean you won’t ever be alone.
There isn’t a season God’s promises will not remain.
So just remember, friend:
New season, same God.
