When I think of Jesus, I think of the amazing miracles He performed.
I think of Him changing water to wine, walking on water and raising a dead man back to life.
I think of unlimited power, absolute perfection, grace greater than I can fathom, and a mighty hand that can’t be beat.
He is the God of big miracles, of big love, of big everything. He is the God of BIG.
And He is also God of the small.
He is the God of the little details throughout our day that may feel mundane.
Like when I wake up in the morning, and look at the sun He made rise on this day He created, He is there.
When I step outside and breath in the fresh air that He breathes into my lungs, He is there.
As I drive my car to work, His Presence is like my copilot. He is there.
As I go into meetings, send emails or make phone calls, His voice is my guide. Even at work, He is there.
When I’m home with my family, sitting down to eat, He sits at the table with us. He is there.
When I put my kids to sleep at night and kiss them on the forehead, He does too. He loves those kids. He is there.
And when I lay my head down at night, with thoughts of the day swirling through my head, He is there to comfort me. He love me, too. He is there.
Yes, He is a God of the big things. He is also God of the small things.
He is in all things, all the time.
The good, bad and the neutral. He cares about the details of our life.
Don’t forget to invite Him into the small things, too.
They won’t feel as small or insignificant once you recognize the God of the BIG wants to be a part of the small.
He is right there.
