A girl after Jesus’ own heart..
She lives in the world but knows her home isn’t here.
She messes up, but she also accepts the grace He so graciously gives her. She gets back up and tries again.
She loves, big. She loves because He loves her, and the love He’s given her bubbles over to others.
When she is feeling broken and beat down, she runs to His word for the refreshment her soul needs. She stands in His truths and remembers who He is.
She looks for Him. She tries to find Him in everything she does, even the most mundane of tasks. Doing life with Him beings her so much peace.
She wakes up in the morning and reminds herself that this life she lives is bigger than her. She has a calling, a purpose, and is a part of His great plan.
She constantly talks to Him. In the quiet of the night and in the hustle and bustle of the day. She is always whispering to Him, knowing He hears her every word.
She wants to see others through His eyes. She tries not to judge others because she knows every human is made in His image. He loves each of them, so she tries to do the same.
She cries out to Him. Sometimes she gets confused and wonders where He is. But she falls back on His promise that He will never leave her.
Material objects, status and power are no longer what she strives after. She knows only in Him will she find true satisfaction.
She tries hard to be like him- to live and love like He does. She doesn’t come close to measuring up, but she will spend her life trying to share His love with others.
She knows what life without Him looks and feels like, and she never wants that again. She remembers being lost but now is found. And for now on she will stay there with Him.
A girl after Jesus’ own heart isn’t perfect, but she is dedicated to Him.
She doesn’t think she is better than anyone else, but she knows she is chosen by Him.
She has a long way to go, but she’ll fight for Him until she returns back home.
