Letting go of things we love, think we love, or just really want to work out, is so incredibly difficult.
And sometimes God calls us to let go of things we simply don’t want to.
A comfortable job.
A boyfriend or girlfriend.
A home or community.
A way of life.
A dream.
Conveniences in our life.
Sometimes it’s heartbreaking when He tells us to let go.
Why, God?! This is comfortable. This is what I’ve been working for. This is what I want!
We might even hear Him say, “I have something else for you.”
But even still, it can be so hard to believe.
It can be so scary to take a leap of faith having no idea where you will fall... and where you’ll land.
I don’t know why God calls us away from certain things.
But I do know that when He says He has something else for us, it means He has something better.
He has something that will bring Him more glory, and therefore fulfill our hearts more.
Living in God’s will for us (even if it means letting go of some things we don’t want to let go of) will always be the best plan for us.
So if you are hearing the whispers, “there’s more...”
He means it.
And it’s sometimes not until we let go that He can put in our life something else.
He wants to show you exactly what He has in store.
Trust that His plan is for you is best, and go.
It might not be comfortable, but it’ll be where God needs you and that‘s exactly where you were made to be.
